This study aims to provide a comprehensive literature review on the impact of digital transformation, accounting information systems, and governance on improving financial and administrative performance in Libyan commercial banks. The importance of the study stems from the increasing challenges facing the Libyan banking sector amid global technological transformations, economic and institutional instability, and the growing need to develop more efficient, transparent, and decision-supportive banking systems. The study adopts a comprehensive literature review approach by analyzing relevant Arabic and international studies, reports, and theoretical contributions, with particular emphasis on recent research related to Libyan commercial banks. The review indicates that digital transformation plays a significant role in improving banking service quality, accelerating transactions, and enhancing financial inclusion. However, its effectiveness depends on the readiness of digital infrastructure and the competence of human resources. The literature also shows that accounting information systems contribute to improving the quality of financial and administrative information in terms of relevance, accuracy, reliability, and timeliness, which positively affects banking decision-making. Furthermore, banking governance is found to be a key factor in enhancing transparency, internal control, risk management, and reducing administrative and financial corruption. The study concludes that the integration of digital transformation, accounting information systems, and governance provides a strategic framework for improving financial and administrative performance in Libyan commercial banks, particularly in light of the need for comprehensive institutional and technological reform.
