Peer Review Policy
Peer Review Policy
Diwan Al-Ma'rifah Journal for Applied and Human Sciences applies a rigorous peer review process to ensure the scientific quality, originality, relevance, and integrity of all published articles.
After submission, each manuscript undergoes an initial editorial screening to verify its compliance with the journal’s scope, author guidelines, formatting requirements, ethical standards, and originality criteria. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the authors or rejected before peer review.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are evaluated through a double-blind peer review process, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential. Each manuscript is normally reviewed by at least two independent specialists with relevant academic expertise.
Reviewers assess manuscripts according to the following criteria:
- Originality and contribution to knowledge.
- Relevance to the journal’s scope.
- Clarity of the research problem and objectives.
- Appropriateness and accuracy of the methodology.
- Quality of data analysis and interpretation.
- Strength of the discussion and conclusions.
- Accuracy and adequacy of references.
- Compliance with research and publication ethics.
- Clarity, organization, and academic quality of the manuscript.
Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editorial decision may be:
- Accept without revision.
- Accept with minor revisions.
- Reconsider after major revisions.
- Reject.
Authors are expected to respond carefully to reviewers’ comments and submit a revised manuscript within the period specified by the journal. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the same reviewers for further evaluation.
Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents, avoid using unpublished information for personal benefit, and disclose any conflict of interest that may affect their objectivity.
The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief or the authorized editorial team, based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the scientific quality of the manuscript, and its compliance with the journal’s editorial policies.
