Editorial Policy

Diwan Al-Ma'rifah Journal for Applied and Human Sciences is committed to maintaining high standards of academic quality, integrity, transparency, and fairness throughout the editorial and publication process.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their relevance to the journal’s scope, originality, academic quality, and compliance with the author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s basic requirements may be rejected before peer review.

Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are sent for independent peer review. Reviewers are selected according to their academic expertise and are expected to evaluate submissions objectively, confidentially, and without conflict of interest. Editorial decisions are based on the scientific merit, originality, methodological quality, clarity, and relevance of the manuscript.

The journal applies the following editorial principles:

  • Fair and impartial evaluation of all submissions.
  • Confidential handling of manuscripts and reviewer reports.
  • Disclosure and management of conflicts of interest.
  • Respect for intellectual property and authors’ rights.
  • Rejection of plagiarism, fabricated data, duplicate publication, and unethical research practices.
  • Protection of the identities and personal information of authors and reviewers.
  • Clear communication of editorial decisions and revision requirements.
  • Correction, withdrawal, or retraction of published material when serious errors or ethical violations are identified.

The Editor-in-Chief and editorial board are responsible for the final publication decision. Editorial decisions are made independently and are not influenced by commercial, personal, political, or institutional interests.

Authors may submit an appeal against an editorial decision if they provide clear academic reasons. Appeals are reviewed objectively by the editorial team, and the final decision remains with the journal.
